Green Moon is an early childhood art and music development program for children ages 15 months through 7 years based in a learning approach that emphasizes educating the whole child— emotionally, socially, physically and cognitively—in an experience-based, interdisciplinary and collaborative setting.

friendship & independence

Under the Green Moon model, each class curriculum provides a setting in which children can explore and develop their cognitive, motor and social skills through sensory-based class settings, using a stimulating environment.

exploration & discovery

Children will have the opportunity to express their own ideas and feelings through creative art and music experiences in all parts of the program, including:

• Language learning experiences

• Dramatic play

• Active & quiet play

• Individual and small group activities

• Experiences that promote self-reliance

• Varied choices in materials & equipment

• Child-initiated & teacher-initiated experiences

learning through art

In every Green Moon class, instructors will encourage children to learn and build new skills through these principles:

1. Address separation anxiety, if any

2. Listen/learn from the child, determining how they are communicating

3. Develop and refine each child’s fine motor skills through carefully constructed projects

4. Enhance each child’s social skills and awareness by teaching them to play with, and notice, others

5. Foster Individuality
